The Agency for the development of viticulture and winemaking under the Ministry of agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a press conference at the National press center.
The main attention at the event was paid to the work carried out in the framework of the execution of the decree of the President of our country “on the organization of the Agency for the development of viticulture and winemaking under the Ministry of agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan”dated February 5, 2019, the results achieved.
The effective work on increase in regions of our country of industrially oriented vineyards, expansion of technical areas of grapes, cultivation of demanded in the world market, popular and perspective grades of grapes is noted. According to the decision of the head of our state, information about the work was given.
– The resolution approved a plan for the construction of a new vineyard for 2019-2021 on an area of 32.4 thousand hectares, of which this year it is planned to plant vineyards on an area of 8.3 thousand hectares, – said the Deputy Director of the Agency for the development of viticulture and winemaking Nizomiddin Vapaev. – To date, 141 initiative groups in the regions have turned 9,991 hectares of land into tokzar. To provide them with water, 229 artesian wells were installed. To this end, the Fund to support vineyards and winemakers will allocate subsidies in the amount of 27.7 billion soums and 66.7 billion soums for the introduction of drip irrigation technology on the area of 8 thousand 345 hectares.
At a press conference, employees of relevant enterprises and organizations, specialists, farmers expressed their opinion about the changes in the system.
– Since our farm is diversified, in 2016 we built vineyards on more than 200 hectares of land, – says the head of the farm “Safarboy Tirashev” of the Ishtikhan district of Samarkand region Uktam Khonnazarov, – the main problem is the lack of water. Because of this, we have not been able to effectively use many areas. The decision created convenience for many farmers, such as me. the Agency allocated 1 billion 600 million soums of subsidies for the introduction of drip irrigation technology 140 hectares of vineyards. As a result, we have achieved high yields and water savings. Now comes the air of one who has seen our grown 3 varieties of grapes being grown. The products grown by us will be transferred to the processing plant belonging to our farm.
According to the presented data, today in the field of winemaking there are 40 processing industrial enterprises capable of receiving 202,8 thousand tons of grape raw materials for the season. In recent years, an important role in the field has been played by the fact that 19 wineries belonging to these enterprises have installed modern technological equipment for the primary processing of grapes in Italy, Bulgaria, Moldova and other countries. In 2018, processed 153,3 thousand tons of grapes. It is expected that this season will be processed 160 thousand tons of grape raw materials.
